We finally were able to go public with our wireless optical communications development at X (previously Google X) with a keynote at the NASSCOM conference in Hyderabad, India on February 21, 2018. It was an honor to talk about the technology and the cool work we have been doing largely out of the public eye in Puerto Rico (separate blog post) and in rural India.

We described the recent deal we signed with the government of Andhra Pradesh to deliver 2,000 wireless optical communications (WOC) links to connect thousands of rural villages in that state and our rollout plans. It was exciting to go public with the information and we got a very positive reception and press.
